As an Alumni Association, Union High School Track & Field Alumni is committed to help provide the opportunities, choices, and resources that empower Cross Country/Track & Field students to reach their dreams while also supporting the UHS mission of teaching and service. We are committed to help provide educational opportunities to qualified student(s) thereby perpetuating the lessons of Coach Robert O’Dell who taught generations of students that access to opportunity is found in assuming leadership roles in their personal lives and communities.

As a Union High School alumnus please come join us, you are most welcome.

Our History

The Union High School Track & Field Alumni organization was formed shortly after the 25th reunion of the Class of 1977. While reminiscing the night away Mark Cheben, Mike Halloran, Jack Mintz, and others realized exactly how much our UHS Track & Field experience has impacted each of our lives. It was clear that we needed to try and “give something back” by finding other alumni and, most importantly, by funding a scholarship in the name of Coach Robert O’Dell who guided the Cross Country and Track & Field programs for over 30 years.

At our 1st Reunion dinner in June 2003 we had exactly 7 people and awarded a Robert O’Dell Scholarship in the amount of $500. In recent years we have had over 40 people at our annual reunion and in 2006 we presented a scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Clearly we’re heading in the right direction.

Please help us grow by making sure that we have your complete contact information and also by helping us to locate more of our UHS teammates. You can reach out to anyone on our Board of Directors or you can contact our organization secretary.
